HCUCC at General Synod 35 in Kansas City

Our Hawai‘i delegation is going "Into the Deep" at General Synod 35 taking place July 11-15 in Kansas City, Missouri. This biennial gathering is the largest convention of our denomination, like an "‘Aha" of the United Church of Christ, where business, learning, and worship take place. The Hawai‘i Conference is being represented by 12 delegates, along with Conference Minister David Popham, Conference Council Chairperson Roberta Jahrling, and several staff members and friends.

The UCC news team has also been hosting a live, daily talk show, GS LIVE, on the UCC YouTube page, from 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 a.m., Hawai'i time. "Guests will explore the General Synod theme of 'going into the deep' and will share stories of innovation, hope and opportunity that are taking place within the denomination. Viewers are also invited to be part of the Synod gathering by submitting their reflections on how they are 'going into the deep' waters of ministry.
