Christian Investment Grant
The Christian Investment Grant of the Hawai‘i Conference United Church of Christ serves two purposes:
To assist member churches in fulfilling the mission of the Hawai‘i Conference through the implementation of projects or programs that reach out to people in their communities
To encourage activities that bring ministers together for development, support and collegiality
Edith H. Wolfe Scholarship
The Edith H. Wolfe Scholarship Committee of the Woman's Board of Missions for the Pacific Islands will be receiving applications from April 15 through June 30, 2020. This scholarship is open to all women seeking post-high school higher education for both university and trade-school degrees. The Henry Opukaha‘ia Scholarship Fund supports the training of clergy for Christian mission by providing financial aid for seminary students who have in-care standing with their association and continuing education funds for active ministers...
John and Norma Nomura DeSaegher Scholarship
Central Union Church is pleased to offer the John and Norma Nomura DeSaegher Scholarship, which provides Divinity students $5000 awards annually and students may receive the scholarship twice in the matriculation of their degree. Applicants must be a member in good standing in a UCC or affiliated denomination and a Member in Discernment in the UCC (or an equivalent designation in an affiliated denomination). Income from the Friend Peace Scholarship Fund provides scholarships and study grants that help Christian students preparing for definite Christian work, and for such other purposes as determined by the Board of Trustees.
Wallace T. Fukunaga Endowment Fund
The Wallace T. Fukunaga Endowment Fund at Pacific School of Religion (PSR) provides financial assistance to Pacific Island (Samoan, Tongan, Micronesian) individuals to participate in PSR's remarkable educational programs. Established in honor of PSR Distinguished Alumnus Wallace "Wally" T. Fukunaga, the fund provides a $2,500 scholarship annually. Applications are due February 1 for Fall enrollment and October 1 for Spring enrollment. Applicants will be considered for other merit and need based support.
