It is with a grieving heart that I write to you following the tragic deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Each of these beloved children of God leaves behind a constellation of family, friends, and communities who now carry the weight of loss and unanswered questions.

Keawalaʻi Congregational Church in Makena, Maui has proclaimed Kahu Kealahou Alika with the  honorary title of Pastor Emeritus in recognition of his 29 years serving our ʻohana and the wider community of Maui.

On Saturday, January 17, 2026, the Association of Hawaiian Evangelical Churches installed ten people—five men and five women—as Kahu Pono at Kawaiaha‘o Church.
