Interim Conference Minister Gabrielle Chavez is offering a 3-session series for lay people and pastoral leaders titled "Opening Your Heart to Advent—First Steps on the Christ Path." The class will consider the significance of the birth of Christ on earth, called the incarnation, and the meaning of the second birth of Christ in the heart of the Christian. Spiritual practices for inner transformation will help students integrate their learning in daily life. Sessions are from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on three Saturdays: November 17, December 8, and December 15 remotely via Zoom, with an option of attending the first two classes in the Conference office. Four CEUs are available for those completing all classes and homework.
