Attending this General Synod opened my eyes to how much I value the UCC. Last Sunday I went on an hour and a half bike ride, one way, to attend my nearest UCC church here in Oregon. I was so inspired by the love, care and affection the UCC churches and members share for all people no matter their values. The church I have been going to near my college does not talk about or concern themselves with the current issues. Until I attended this General Synod I had not realized the quiet nature of this church. We are the UCC ready and willing to make the world an equal place for all of Gods creatures!
