At its regular meeting held last Saturday, February 7, the Conference Council voted unanimously to host the UCC Western Regional Youth Event in 2018.  This quadrennial event brings together youth from throughout the eight conferences of the Western Region.  The Council also engaged in on-going discussion of long-range mission priorities and received a final tally of 2014 giving by churches to Our Churches Wider Mission ($274,434).

Actions taken by the Council include appointment of Aletha Kaohi (Hanapepe Hawaiian Church) to a three-year term on the Mabel Wilcox Foundation Distribution Committee; and approval of audited financial statements for 2014 for the Hawai'i Conference UCC and Hawai'i Conference Foundation.
