True reconciliation has to begin with trust, and trust has to begin with listening. For over two centuries, the proclamation of the Good News that was brought to our shores by our New England forebears drowned out the existent spiritual wisdom of wā kahiko (ancient Hawai‘i). Utilizing the sacred act of a shared meal, interpreted with the elements and na'auao (wisdom) particular to Hawai‘i, panelists who are members of the Reconciliation Working Group will engage in an interactive process of mutual listening and exploration of the shared spiritual wisdom inherent in all people of faith.
