The relationship to Cornwall extends through our ancestors Henry Opukaha'ia and Prince George Humehume Kaumuali'i, John Honoli'i, Thomas Hopu and William Kenui who lived and attended the Foreign Mission School in Cornwall. Since then there has been a continual relationship with the little village in Connecticut.

The Hoomanawananui 'Ohana of Koolauhu'ia Protestant Church, in partnership with the Kaua'i Association UCC and the Woman's Board of Missions for the Pacific Islands, will be hosting the Mayor, First Selectman, Gordon Ridgway of Cornwall, CT to commemorate our relationship of over 200 years. There will be two events to celebrate:

January 13, 2019

9:00 a.m. Sunday service at Koolauhu'ia Protestant Church (4095 Kealia Road, Anahola, Kaua'i) followed by a potluck.

Tuesday, January 15, 2019

The 'Ohana Cornwall Celebration potluck is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Lihue United Church Parish Hall (4340 Nawiliwili Road, Lihue) followed by a sharing of songs for the Cornwall 'Ohana.

All are welcome to both events!
