Prepare for ‘Aha Pae‘aina
The 195th 'Aha Pae'aina, the annual meeting of the Hawai'i Conference United Church of Christ, will take place next week (‘Aha Iki, June 14-15; ‘Aha Makua, June 16-17) at Kamehameha Schools Maui. Please note the following information related to the 'Aha Pae'aina:
Handbooks: 'Aha Makua and 'Aha Iki handbooks and updates are posted on the Conference website. Be sure to download them to tablets or laptops, or print them out, prior to the meetings.
Conference Office Schedule: The Conference Office will remain open next week from Tuesday through Friday, June 13-16, during regular office hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
Polity Courses: A three-class session (“Ethos of the UCC & HCUCC,” “History of the UCC” and “Polity of the UCC”) will be offered on Thursday, June 15, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Kamehameha Schools Maui. For more information, email email@example.com or call 808-791-5633.
Grand Lu'au: All are invited to a Grand Lu'au honoring Conference Minister Charles Buck on June 15, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are free for 'Aha Iki registrants and $15 at the door.
