Edward G. Wulfekuehler, Jr.

The Rev. Dr. Edward G. Wulfekuehler, Jr., 80, passed away November 26, 2008, at his home in Kihei, Maui, from cancer.

Ed served as Interim Pastor of Makawao Union Church from 1995-1997 and was named Pastor Emeritus of Makawao Union Church in 2005. He also served as supply pastor for  churches and taught at Maui Community College. Before moving to Hawai’i, he served churches in Missouri, California, Oregon, and New Zealand and held the position of Special Advisor on Reserve Chaplaincy Affairs to the Army Chief of Chaplains at the Pentagon. Ed received his Master of Divinity degree from Pacific School of Religion in 1953 and a Doctorate of Ministry degree, also from PSR, in 1977. He received certification for interim ministry through the Interim Ministry Network.

Ed was a member of Keawalai Church on Maui. He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Burdick. A Memorial service at Keawala’i Congregation Church in Makena will be held December 13, 2008.
